Democrats Lose Edge in Four More States

April 21, 2014

A recent Op-Ed piece from Digital Journal highlights four in-play Senate races that were formerly seen as safe for Democrats.   The reasons are varied.  In New Hampshire, a viable challenger in Scott Brown has entered the race.  In Iowa, a gaffe by the likely Democratic nominee has energized Republicans.   In Colorado, the party has coalesced around the entry of popular Rep. Cory Gardner, eliminating a vigorous primary battle.   Finally, in Michigan, a popular likely Republican nominee has been polling well against the likely Democrat to replace the retiring Carl Levin.

Races: Colorado US Senate, Iowa US Senate, Michigan US Senate, New Hampshire US Senate
