A recent Op-Ed piece from Digital Journal highlights four in-play Senate races that were formerly seen as safe for Democrats. The reasons are varied. In Colorado, the party has coalesced around the entry of popular Rep. Cory Gardner, eliminating a vigorous primary battle. Finally, in Michigan, a popular likely Republican nominee has been polling well against the likely Democrat to replace the retiring Carl Levin.
